“You’re filed under ‘F’ for Family”

When my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer four years ago, one of the first things she asked me to do for her was to organize her accounts and paperwork. As a retired nursery schoolteacher, her estate was pretty modest – just regular household bills, a life insurance policy, social security, a pension, etc., but it still took me over a month to get everything sorted. Part of the challenge was her “unique” filing system – for example, her banking information was filed under “M” for Money. The contact information for me and my siblings was filed under “F” for Family. You get the idea.

While it was daunting to track down her various accounts and documents, finding a safe, secure, and easy way to store and share these items was an even bigger obstacle. Which is why I was thrilled to learn about Trustworthy, an on-line platform that easily and securely stores important household information.

Rather than rummaging through files and drawers for identification documents, insurance information, household accounts, and end-of-life documents, Trustworthy provides a centralized platform to store all of this information safely in the Cloud. Simply scan most documents and Trustworthy, using AI technology, does the rest. What’s more, Trustworthy allows you to share specific information with the right people – such as your estate attorney or accountant – making collaboration easy when it’s needed most.  Finally, I know many of us are wary of getting hacked when we store information online. Trustworthy uses advanced security techniques, including automatically enabled 2-factor authentication and data reduction.

I don’t normally push a product, but I’ve been so impressed by Trustworthy, I’ve begun using it for all my clients’ data storage needs. Now I’m excited to offer a special bundle that is specifically designed to help our parents get their estates organized with ease.

It seems like every other day I hear from friends and colleagues about how they are struggling to manage the needs of their aging parents. Whether its worrying about finding our parents' paperwork and digital accounts if something happens to them, or encouraging them to create wills, medical directives and other legal documents, or helping them manage money and avoid fraudsters from a distance, its seems like all of us are facing a real need to get our parent’s estates organized safely and conveniently while navigating the emotional stress of parent-child relationships.

Trustworthy’s new bundle for parents and their children can help provide this solution. It combines an annual subscription with up to six hours of my time* to help get you up and running, because I know sometimes it’s better to have an outsider work with your parents on these kinds of projects (LOL).

Clients will receive an additional 10% off of Trustworthy’s annual subscription price through my personalized link. Contact me today to see how I can help you and your parents get organized so you can file this “to do” under “P” for Peace of mind.

*If you need more of my time, we can add that on – no problem!
